In Feldkirch, Karin is going to lead you to the Schattenburg, a medieval castle housing a nice restaurant. It’s famous for it’s Wiener Schnitzel so you might give that a try. The best connection back to Dornbirn is the railjet at 23:51 from platform 4, the last train leaves at 1:00. You’ll have about 15 minutes from the castle to the railway station Feldkirch by foot.

Have fun but don’t forget to be prepared for your presentations on Friday ūüėČ

Day 8 – Scrum Meetings, Skiing and Snow Hiking

From the morning to the early afternoon we had very productive hours – then it was time for a break so we went skiing and snow hiking. Afterwards the next working phase started – some of the group even kept on working until the early night hours.

Day 7 – Scrum meetings, short lecture and first presentations of prototypes

The first deadline for our games was pending Рall day long the groups worked together so that we would finally be able to presentate as developed projects as possible in the evening.

Day 6 – Scrum Meetings

Due to the weather it was not possible to have another skiing trip like the one on thursday. So we could use time for developing further the games.

Day 5 – Game-Poster Presentation, Scrum Meetings

After the Game-Poster Presentation with Mechanics in the morning we started with our Scrum Meetings, in which we tried to devide our goal to complete a serious game into several, specific tasks via project management.

Day 4 – Pitch, hiking (and skiing)

After a lecture on game mechanics we firstly presented two of our game-ideas to a representative of Vorarlberger Illwerke AG.

Some presentations even were surprisingly funny.

In the afternoon we climbed Dornbirns local mountain – the Karren – and on top enjoyed the view.

Skiing on Bödele was fun! Most of the Irish Students started from scratch. In other words this was their first time on skies or snow-boards. They did very well and were very well committed. Four already managed to go with the lift and master the hill in one piece after one hour. What a big achievement! Congratulations!

See yourself:

Please feel free to submit images of the skiing trip if you took some!

Day 3 РLecture, lecture, lecture …

After an input to several programming languages we met for the Scrum Meetings. In the afternoon we got an input on the topic of Human Computer Interfaces and Usability.

We ended the evening by playing several games.
